We serve as advocates for the rights and needs of individuals with visual impairments and disabilities, working to promote accessibility, inclusion, and equality. We assist individuals and their families in navigating the educational and employment systems to ensure they receive appropriate accommodations and support. Our advocacy efforts extend to raising public awareness and working with policymakers to create more inclusive communities.
In 2021, Dan provided testimony to the 134th General Assembly of the Ohio House of Representatives in support of Bill 352 which states "To enact sections 2131.03, 2131.031, 2131.032, 2131.033, and 2131.034 of the Revised Code to generally prohibit a person's disability from being used to deny or limit custody, parenting time, visitation, adoption, or service as a guardian or foster caregiver, regarding a minor."
